Mike Lange’s life-long fascination with and dedication to motorcycles started early — he was just four or five years old when he got himself bit by the bug. “It was in my blood,” he says, also noting that he was the only one in his family who had any interest in two-wheeled machines at the time.

Don Castro, Champion Flat Track Racer and AMA Hall of Fame Inductee, was the definition of form and function. His bikes performed amazingly well on the track and looked like they could be dusted off and taken to a concourse bike show the next day.

In 2015, I stumbled across my first motorcycle show, Mama Tried, in Milwaukee. After that show, I realized I wanted a bike of my own. I saved up enough money and bought a ‘99 Sportster 1200 from my buddy. I rode that for the remainder of the year until winter hit and then decided I wanted to make it my own.
