A sticky, Coke-syrup racing surface is just part of the allure.

Flat Out Friday, an indoor flat track race run on — literally — a Coke-syrup surface, has opened the Mama Tried event on Friday night since 2016. But as you might guess by the aforementioned (and sticky) description, it’s not your typical flat track race.

Though Led Sled was established as a company in 2003, the idea started well before. In the mid 90s owner and proprietor, Pat Patterson, found a love for painting. From free hand pinstriping to full paint jobs on gas tanks the idea of customizing anything was possible. This mentality gained momentum and has been going full speed ever since.

As always, we had a killer time at the Mama Tried Motorcycle show in Milwaukee, Wi. This show is one of the most unique ones we attend and we look forward to it every year. Check out this quick video summary of the show.

We Wisconsinites can get a little stir crazy when the winter silence takes over. Temps drop to -15 F, and all we can really do is keep our hands busy and daydream of the next dog day afternoon. But come mid-January, for a few golden weeks, we're able to pull out those studded ice tires and go riding with our pals.
