Mama Tried Show RSS
The Mama Tried Motorcycle Show and Flat Out Friday have been happening in some form or fashion for over 8 years. While the (sometimes) shiny motorcycles are the light bulbs that bring us moths together, over the years we’ve seen the social aspect of the events grow into a community all its own.
This year instead of giving you an overall look at the Mama Tried 2021 Show, we thought it would be a great idea to get a more in-depth look at some of the talented builders and their bikes in the show instead. Rather than just see a bunch of bikes at a quick glance, we teamed up with Geared Science and cherry picked some of the best of the best in the show to give you a really in-depth look with the builder and motorcycle it self.
Anyone who has taken a motorcycle trip knows what I mean when I say “the road provides". If you are lucky enough to have been on the road with some of your close buddies like I have. It really makes you realize how special it really is. I cut my teeth as a young man. As a mechanic. As a traveler. As a young dude, just trying to find my way. These trips shaped my early years and I am grateful to have logged so many miles with so many of my closest friends. You know who you are. Letting go and allowing yourself to be vulnerable. Allowing yourself to take it all in and be present is where it gets to be super special.
"Everyone turns the crank in shop class to see the engine move. Well, this one actually burns gas and does stuff!" Hawke Lashe of Vintage Technologies out of Northern Montana set out to build the long bike shop class experiment of every gear-head's dream! What he came up with was the absolute ideal chopper with a style to spare and a little bit of education for everyone to enjoy.
